The beginning

As of this evening, 8:51 p.m., on April 3, 2007, I have lost my virginity. My blog virginity, that is.

I can no longer call myself a blog virgin. This also means I can no longer spit at people who have blogs just for the purpose of having something to say to the hungry multitude of people in this world who don't even know the blog even exists.

It also means I have a voice.
Not a strong, loud voice broadcast over innumerable speakers a la Hitler in WW2, nor does it mean that I can cast my hook and sinker into deep oceans in the hopes of catching huge bags of money.

However, it does mean that I have planted a wee seed, a blog seed, and if I try to water it, carefully and modestly, two or three times a week, then perhaps something shall sprout, pages will be written (electronically of course), people's ears will perk up (those besides my parents, family and friends who are reading this mainly because they feel obligated to), and one day, in the near future, some unknown head cheese will see my words and think "What a smart schmo", and send me a million-dollar contract requesting me to sign at the bottom line.

More likely it won't happen. But you never know til you get started.

So I exeunt now, with great trumpets and flourish, and this is but the beginning.
